- Make an outline (plan)
- Start to produce an essay
#1 BRAINSTORMING: Put all ideas on paper
- Free writing: write whatever ideas flowing out from your mind. Give 5 minutes to do it rapidly. Don't think about grammar, ideas structure, and logic. It will help you to generate ideas and find certain topic.
e.g.: Drugs; Bad impacts; Good impacts; Health; Medical; Government; Laws; Policy
- Focused free writing: the similar step as above but you will attempt to generate specific idea than think about all things in mind.
e.g.: Marijuana; Legality; Abuses; Children; Society; Country's conditions
- Brainstorming: try to relate words, phrases, details, examples, and thoughts.
e.g.: Marijuana increases country's economy; Marijuana for medical necessities; Marijuana influences physical and mental tenancy; Marijuana relates to children and teenagers' future; Marijuana encourages crime cases.
